Manic Panic
There is this hair dye, really good stuff, called Manic Panic. It comes in a ton of bright colours and is semi-permanent, I've been using this stuff for years for all my hair-dying needs. (and believe me I have a lot of need in the hair dye department) :P
Here's their website:
http://www.manicpanic.com/
You should check it out, common retailers of this stuff are Shoppers Drug Mart and Culture Craze stores. A lot of other "punk" type stores sell it. Usually runs about $10-$14 Canadian a jar and a jar will last for two dyes on short hair and one dye on long hair.
So far I've tried Atomic Turquoise, Cotton Candy, Electric Banana, Electric Lizard, Green Envy, Fuschia Shock, Infra Red, Enchanted Forest, Ultra Violet and Shockig Blue (I think) plus the Vampire Red and Tiger Lily Orange
The only one I've been disappointed in is the Vampire Red that was really more a fuschia and very quickly faded to a bright orange... but it may have been my own fault for dying over yellow hair, lol. The colours typically last about 3 weeks in people with normal coloured hair, but because I'm an albino and have white hair they usually last in my hair about 6-8 weeks.
Here's a list of all the regular colours they have... they also have some Amplified formula colours and some mousse-like all can be found off the main site, which I listed above.

Hamsters Part 21
I got in just after midnight today and checked on the hamsters, there are 3 babies in the cage, all from the litter from before I left, they are getting quite big and cute but I still dare not touch them for a week or so for fear of cannibalization from the parents. :(
As sad as it was that Kus died on the upsided I now will have only 3 cages and I get move Mouse into the easy to clean cage and out of the space cage that is the bane of my existence...
Oh and I think this batch of babies is going to the pet store unless one of my friends wants them... I don't want to have 8 hamsters again! it's too crazy! LOL

Boxing Day
Did you know that most American, unlike us Canadians, don't celebrate Boxing Day? Some don't even know what it is... they don't have big "Boxing Day" sales or pandemonium at the malls... their sales day is Black Friday (the day after American thanksgiving.)
Origins of Boxing Day!
"Boxing Day is a public holiday celebrated in the United Kingdom and most other Commonwealth countries on December 26, the day after Christmas Day.[1][2]"
Origins:
"There are disparate theories as to the origins of the term. The more common stories include:
It was the day when people would give a present or Christmas 'box' to those who have worked for them throughout the year. This is still done in Britain for postmen and paper-boys - though now the 'box' is usually given before Christmas, not after.
In feudal times, Christmas was a reason for a gathering of extended families. All the serfs would gather their families in the manor of their lord, which made it easier for the lord of the estate to hand out annual stipends to the serfs. After all the Christmas parties on 26 December, the lord of the estate would give practical goods such as cloth, grains, and tools to the serfs who lived on his land. Each family would get a box full of such goods the day after Christmas. Under this explanation, there was nothing voluntary about this transaction; the lord of the manor was obliged to supply these goods. Because of the boxes being given out, the day was called Boxing Day.
In England many years ago, it was common practice for the servants to carry boxes to their employers when they arrived for their day's work on the day after Christmas. Their employers would then put coins in the boxes as special end-of-year gifts. This can be compared with the modern day concept of Christmas bonuses. The servants carried boxes for the coins, hence the name Boxing Day!
In churches, it was traditional to open the church's donation box on Christmas Day, and the money in the donation box was to be distributed to the poorer or lower class citizens on the next day. In this case, the "box" in "Boxing Day" comes from that lockbox in which the donations were left.
Boxing Day was the day when the wren, the king of birds,[3] was captured and put in a box and introduced to each household in the village when he would be asked for a successful year and a good harvest. See Frazer's Golden Bough.
Evidence can also be found in Wassail songs such as:
Where are you going ? said Milder to Malder,
Oh where are you going ? said Fessel to Foe,
I'm going to hunt the cutty wren said Milder to Malder,
I'm going to hunt the cutty wren said John the Rednose.
And what will you do wi' it ? said Milder to Malder,
And what will you do wi' it ? said Fessel to Foe,
I'll put it in a box said Milder to Malder,
I'll put it in a box said John the Rednose.
etc...
Because the staff had to work on such an important day as Christmas by serving the master of the house and their family, they were given the following day off. As servants were kept away from their own families to work on a traditional religious holiday and were not able to celebrate Christmas Dinner, the customary benefit was to "box" up the leftover food from Christmas Day and send it away with the servants and their families. (Similarly, as the servants had the 26th off, the owners of the manor may have had to serve themselves pre-prepared, boxed food for that one day.) Hence the "boxing" of food became "Boxing Day". "

Song of the Week
"Santa Baby" - Marilyn Munroe
Buh-bum.. buh-bum...
Santa baby, just slip a sable under the tree, for me
Been an awful good girl
Santa baby so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa baby, a '54 convertible too, light blue,
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Think of all the fun I've missed,
Think of all the fellows that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be just as good
If you check off my christmas list
Santa baby, I want a yacht and really thats not a lot
Been an angel all year
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa honey, one little thing I really need, the deed
To a platinum mine,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa cutie, and fill my stocking with a duplex and cheques,
Sign your x on the line
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Come and trim my chirstmas tree,
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you,
Let's see if you believe in me
Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring,
I don't mean on the phone,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry, tonight.
Buh-bum.. buh-bum...
Santa baby, just slip a sable under the tree, for me

Twas the Night Before Christmas
Yup you guessed it, the old tried and true traditional Christmas story....
"Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clement Clarke Moore
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!

Song of the Week
"River" - Joni Mitchell
Its coming on christmas
Theyre cutting down trees
Theyre putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
But it dont snow here
It stays pretty green
Im going to make a lot of money
Then Im going to quit this crazy scene
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I made my baby cry
He tried hard to help me
You know, he put me at ease
And he loved me so naughty
Made me weak in the knees
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
Im so hard to handle
Im selfish and Im sad
Now Ive gone and lost the best baby
That I ever had
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly
Oh I wish I had a river
I made my baby say goodbye
Its coming on christmas
Theyre cutting down trees
Theyre putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on

Comcast Tech Goes Postal
You know I'll be getting calls about this one... *SIGH*
CHICAGO -- A cable contractor has been charged in the death of a nurse who was found dead in her bathtub last October, and they suspect him in a similar slaying that occurred last Friday.
The body of 39-year-old nurse Janice Ordidge was found in her bathtub in October. An autopsy determined she was strangled and the death was ruled a homicide, according to a report from the medical examiner’s office.
Police say Anthony Triplett, 25, is in custody and charged with first-degree murder, criminal aggravated sexual assault, and residential burglary. More charges might stem from another homicide discovered last Friday The body of 23-year-old Urzula Sakowska was found nude in her bathtub in her home on the 6100 block of South McVicker Avenue either neighbors or friends, according to police news affairs officer Kelly Liakopoulos. Sakowska, whose mouth was duct-taped, was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy found that she died from suffocation and strangulation, according to a medical examiner's office spokesman.
She had a scheduled appointment with Comcast.
According to the sergeant, police were suspicious of Triplett's alleged involvement because a white cable truck or van was seen at the time of the deaths.
People who live nearby are surprised to hear the news.
"That's...that's not good," stammered one surprised neighbor.
"It's rough, it's terrifying," said another.
"We've lived here for 17 years, and I can't believe this happened," said resident Jennifer Elgan.
Comcast spokesperson Rich Ruggiero said the man was contracted through a company called Premier, and was suspended on Dec. 10, two days after the slaying.
"We wish to express our sympathy for the family impacted by this tragedy," said Comcast in a statement Wednesday. "We are cooperating fully with Chicago Police as they conduct their investigation."
Triplett will appear in court Friday.
Stay with NBC 5 for updates on this developing story.
**EDIT**
Here's some new info...
From Comcast:
"We wish to express our sympathy for the families impacted by this tragedy. Mr. Triplett is an employee of Premier, an independent contractor. We have been notified by Premier that Mr. Triplett passed the required background check and criminal history check, and had no prior criminal record. Premier has been suspended as a Comcast contractor."
