Homeplug

Homeplug is the coolest thing ever made! It is an "Ethernet extension cord". Basically how it works is you take one homeplug device and plug it into the wall and then into an Ethernet cord that plugs into your cable modem. You then take a second homeplug and plug it into a wall outlet in the same room as your computer and plug an Ethernet cord into it and the other end into your computer. It's that simple, it creates a bridge for the internet throughout your house, it transfers at 10mb to 15mb making it faster than wireless. The range seems to be about 500 metres, which is more than enough for a house or small office situation. It's such a neat concept I have no idea why it hasn't taken off. It can also run off USB instead of Ethernet. I've found it also to be referred to as a Ethernet Wall Mount. Unfortunately the only place I can find to buy these nifty gadgets is E-Bay and they are far too expensive considering if Comcast installs them they are $55 USD for 2 of them. Just you wait... I seriously think this Homeplug thing will be the way of the future for home internet use.
