Muffins: an aside

On a completely sad and earth-shatteringly shocking note I have found a muffin I enjoy (I know it's hard for me to believe too.) They are carrot creme muffins as sold at Esquires coffee. They are sinfully decadent, imagine if you will a rather large muffin, devoid of the gooey middle and instead filled with whipped cream cheese that is inserted into the muffin via syringe, filling the center with wonderful "carrot creme". It's just like eating a piece of mouth-watering carrot cake. I still stand firm in the belief that one should eat cake over a muffin do to the wastefulness of the calories and carbs in a muffin, but in the case of the creme muffins it's almost the same as eating the cake. LOL
